Post-industrial cities worldwide (such as Paris, London, New York and Chicago, but also cities like Beijing) are increasingly opting for compact, multi-purpose constructions and promoting the use of bicycles as a means of transportation. There are many reasons behind this shift – not least the economic considerations.

Similarly, we believe that the Radbahn will deliver enormous economic benefits to the city of Berlin. Its symbolic power will have numerous positive effects on the city: it will act as an incubator for start-ups, fertile ground for innovative ideas, as well as provide connections between local economic, recreational and cultural sites.
